Issues with the new runway at the Klamath Falls Airport may soon be resolved, but likely won't be fixed until next spring. Airport Operations Manager Bill Hancock says they are currently working with contractors, concentrating on getting the construction company to finish the work from last year's $21 million runway renovation project. Hancock says paving experts are working together to come up with a mutually acceptable resolution to the current runway deterioration issues.

The City of Klamath Falls has three projects on California Avenue between Conger and Delta. Beginning on Tuesday, September 7th, crews will be digging out the worst of the old pavement and patching it, replacing sidewalk ramps and some of the center island curbs. There will be no parking allowed on either side of California Avenue while the work is being performed. There will be intermittent road closures and delays associated with the project.
